Today is Sunday, November 10, 2013. I don’t know how you are feeling today but I have great news for you! You are precious in God’s sight. You have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and redeemed from your sins by grace, which is freely given (Ephesians 1:6). When God made you He made you unique. There is no one on the face of the earth like you. God gave you a special gift this morning; He woke you up, so you could experience another day in his presence. He gave you a wonderful opportunity to be in touch with nature: to see, to feel, to hear, and to touch. You can walk on the ground laden with colorful leaves; you can look at all what God has made including the trees some of which turn into beautiful colors; you can observe the sun that does not always put its shiny head out; you can hear the remnant of birds as they sing; and you are energized as you feel the cold wind brushing against your face. You can hug your spouse and your children as you usher them to the breakfast table. You can pick up the phone and listen as someone speaks to you on the other end. You realize that whatever happens today it cannot compare to what God has offered you–life.
Live life to the fullest, for no day is promised. Do not worry about life and its problems. Problems have a way of solving themselves. Think about who you are and understand that you came into this world to live life abundantly and to make a difference in the lives of others. Your encouraging words or even your smile could help to lift a person who is experiencing emotional, financial, or other life- issues. Make this day special, for you are precious in God’s sight.
Please read this prayer from Prayer and Meditation: Finding Comfort, Hope, and Purpose in the Midst of Your Storm:
God, You Are My Hope in the Midst of Despair
I extol You, Father, mighty king, above the heavens, and king over
All the earth!
Oh, how much I praise and thank you for your everlasting love.
Thank you for blessing me with peace this week.
I trust you with my life.
During rough times, you make a way out for me.
How I love you, Lord!
I can depend on your love for me even when I am experiencing hate.
When I experience sorrow, you give me joy.
In the midst of turmoil, I can experience your peace.
When I am weak; you are strong.
You give me hope in the midst of despair.
