Have you been in a situation where issues in your life are getting rough and you do not know where to turn or what to think? How are you responding to your situation?
I have tried everything, but I have not made serious progress. At times, I am doing too much, but I feel that if I do nothing, I will get bored, and I cannot afford to let that happen. I have resorted to staying active while waiting on God.
I resonate with Apostle Paul who continued to press forward regardless of what was taking place in his life. He experienced beatings, imprisonment, torture, but he never stopped doing the work of God, by bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to so many. He kept on praying to God knowing that God would make a way for him. For example, during his imprisonment at Phillipi, he never stopped praising and believing in God; there was a great earthquake that caused the prison doors to open and the prisoners’ chains to loosen. On seeing this, the jailor was afraid that both Paul and Barnabas would be free, and somehow, he would get in trouble with the authorities, but what happened at the end was surprising. Apostle Paul ministered to the jailor , and he found salvation.
This journey that you and I are going through seems to follow the same pattern of Apostle Paul’s who believed that he felt crucified with Christ, that he no longer lived, but Christ lived in him. The life he lived in the body was account of the faith he had in the son of God who loved him and gave his life for him (Gal. 2:20). Failing to live a life dependent fully on God amounts to worry and doubt. God is in control, and He will make a way out of no way if we leave all the worries to Him. We should become like Apostle Paul, leaving our lives to the will of God, and allowing God to work things out according to his plan for us.
May God bless you,
