What  phrases attract you when you read the Bible?

The first phrase that I am attracted to is, “Give thanks to God. The Bible is filled with psalms of thanksgiving. We should not take God for granted,  but give God thanks in everything ( 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18), not only when things are going well, but when they are not. God is in control and all things work together for our good. When we give God thanks, we put ourselves in a humble position, we wait on God’s timing, and we show God that we are thankful for how he is guiding our lives, for  putting the pieces of our lives together, and affirming that God who e a mighty, is able to do exceedingly above what we ask or imagine.

The second phrase is, “Praise God for His mercy is great towards us (Psalm 117:1-2)” We praise God for His mighty deeds. If it was not for God, you and I would not be in our current positions. God shows his hands of mercy to the poor and needy by putting their feet on solid ground and establishing  their goings. God shows mercy to people who are sick by restoring them to wholeness, and those who are spiritually lost by showing them the way to salvation.

The third phrase is, “His truth endures forever.” His truth or the Word of God endures forever (Psalm 100:5). I am attracted to the word of God because His Word lasts forever. His Word gives each of us hope and purpose and our faith increases when we apply God’s word to our lives.
