The following is a list of reasons that have helped me and hope that they encourage you as you journey through your difficulties.
1. You Are Loved by God
Jeremiah 31:3 states “The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.’”
God’s love for us is constant and unchanging. It is not based on what we do, but on who He is—our Creator and loving Father. This love gives us hope and the assurance that we are never alone, no matter what challenges we face.
2. God Knew You Before You Were Born
Jeremiah 1:5 states” Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations
This verse emphasizes that God’s plans for you are not accidental. He has a purpose for you, even before you entered this world. This truth means that no matter what environment or circumstance you find yourself in, God has a divine purpose that will prevail.
. 3. God Fights Your Battles
Exodus 14:14 states “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Deuteronomy 20:4 states, “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victor
Knowing that God fights for you gives you a sense of peace, especially when situations seem insurmountable. These verses remind us that victory does not come from our strength but from God’s. He is always in control, even when we feel overwhelmed.
4. God Gives You Strength
Isaiah 40:29-31states, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
Philippians 4:13 states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
These verses remind us that God’s strength is made available to us in our weakness. When we want to give up, He renews our strength. We do not have to rely on our own capabilities because God empowers us to keep moving forward.
5. Exercise Faith in Every Situation
Hebrews 11:1 state, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 states, “For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Exercising faith means perseverance, trusting God even when the way forward is unclear. It involves relying on His promises rather than our current reality. Faith is not passive; it is active and involves obedience, trusting that God’s will is perfect even when it does not make sense to us in the moment.
6. Doing the Will of God
Romans 12:2 states, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
Matthew 6:10 states,” Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Doing God’s will be about aligning our hearts and actions with His purpose for our lives. When we surrender our own desires and trust in His plans, we experience peace and fulfillment. His will is always good, pleasing, and perfect, even when the path seems difficult.
In summary, moving forward in life, despite challenges, requires trusting in God’s love, purpose, and strength. It involves resting in the fact that He fights for you, exercising faith even in the unseen, and committing to His will more than anything else. With this understanding, we can confidently press on, knowing we are never alone in our journey.
Each of these biblical truths serves as a foundation for living with hope, perseverance, and purpose, no matter what we face.
