In John 8:12, Jesus says, “I am the light of the World.” We know that the word of God is true. God sent His Son, Jesus, to the earth to redeem humanity from the curse of sin and death (Gal 3:13) Without the shedding of blood, there could be no remission of sin, so Jesus died once so that we could have forgiveness of sin through him.
What benefits do you and I receive when we follow and believe in Him?
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one can go to God except through Him (John 14:6). Jesus’ death on the cross gave us opportunities to go to God just as we are, in Jesus’ name, to confess, repent, and turn our lives around. We have direct relationship with God which we did not have before. Jesus saves people from their sins.
When we follow Jesus, we will not be hungry or thirsty of the Holy Spirit (John 6:35); our lives will change for the better and we can stand on God’s promises regardless of the difficulties we experience. Jesus lives forever; He is seated on the right hand of God making intercession for us (Heb.10:12). When we believe in Him, we become children of the light (John 12:36).
