Taking Steps to Overcome Your Sickness-Follow the Treatment Plan

In the gospel of Mark chapter 2: verse 15-17 Jesus Christ was sitting at the  table among publicans and sinners and the Scribes and the Pharisees were troubled over that.  In his reply to them, Jesus said, they that are whole have no need of a physician but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

Jesus likened himself to a physician who provides medicine, surgery, or diet for one’s healing.  But Jesus’ focus was calling you who are not saved and sanctified to repent and turn to Him so you can receive healing for your souls.

What is God’s treatment plan? In John 3:16,the Bible states that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. In Ephesians 2:8, we learn that it is by grace that you and I have been saved and not anything that we have done, for it is God’s gift to man. That grace is God’s unconditional love initiated by sending His Son Jesus to die and pay the price for your sin and mine.  If you  confess and repent of your sins, (turn away from those things that are contrary to what God wants) believe by faith that Jesus  died on the cross for your sin, and accept him as Lord of your life, the  forgiver  of your sins, you will receive salvation and the gift of eternal life. The Bible states in 2 Corinthians 6:2  that “Today is the day of Salvation;” tomorrow is not promised. This is an urgent matter that cannot be put off. We can compare this to  a patient rescheduling an appointment to see a physician knowing that his/her medical issue is grave and cannot wait.

When you accept Jesus into your life, it does not mean that every single life issue in your life will go away, but Jesus promises to be with you throughout your life journey; He will walk with you, talk with you, and will provide direction and guidance as you go along. He also promises to stand with you and fight your many battles. You have victory in Jesus. Do you want to accept Jesus into your life today, follow the treatment plan by confessing, repenting, believing that Jesus died for your sin, accepting Him into your life and receiving the gift of salvation and eternal life. You will have victory in Jesus.
