(Joan M. Blake, Author)
These past two weeks, I did just that. There were a series of positive incidents that allowed me to see that God’s hands are on my life and that I can do nothing without him.
First, I was getting on YouTube live streaming on Saturday, and just did not get the whole picture and had to cancel the event. I started a new stream scheduled for Sunday, attended a Pastor’s appreciation service, and returned on time to start the stream but noticed I still did not know how to bring the live stream into the live streaming room. There it was, a small dot next to the live stream, which I clicked and there I was in the live streaming room. God met me just where I was. I utilized my faith to believe that I would conduct the live stream and there we were.
On Thursday, I had a hair appointment, and my Uber driver came so quickly, I did not want him to wait so I ran down the hill, got in his car and noticed I did not have a mask, so I went back inside to obtain a mask. By doing so, I left my phone behind. I felt lost without my phone. How am I going to call an Uber when I am ready to leave the salon? Thoughts were racing in my head. Then I thought, “Before getting to the Salon, ask the driver to call your husband and daughter.” I knew that my husband never answers unknown calls, but there, my daughter answered. I told her that I would need a ride back and she willingly decided to set up the ride for me.
I needed to be in control of the situation, but God wanted me to know that He already had everything under control. At the salon, I used my time to write two pages in my journal, to my satisfaction. When it was time to leave, I spoke to my beautician, and she called and set up a ride for me and made sure I got in the right vehicle. When I arrived at home, my daughter had called two minutes before to check on me, but my God, who knows best, had already taken care of me.
Although we want to get ahead, we must realize that God shows up in the little areas of our lives wanting us to know that He is there. We must stand back and see what he is doing. He is molding us into the people that he wants us to be, that he cares about every detail of our lives, and that he loves us. May God bless and keep you today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
