Narrative: Welcome to Insights on Healing Podcast. Our Episode title is, “Let Go and run after God” You will learn what to do when you are experiencing a lonely time in your life.
I am Joan M. Blake, an author, and I am your host. Insights on Healing Podcast includes the reading of scripture, praying, reading from one of my books, or interviewing individuals who found purpose in their lives through the healing power of God.
The purpose of this podcast is to provide content which brings emotional healing and restoration to stay at home moms and working mothers who have had a difficult past and are currently experiencing difficulties. A focal point of this podcast is reflecting on the scripture verses and praying for my audience. I pray as you listen to this episode, that God would bless you with inner strength, purpose, and provide you with the hope that you have been longing for.
The month of February seemed a challenging month for me. I cannot tell you, but after experiencing a death of one of my extended family members, I just could not work and so it took a while before I could get back to work. I felt stuck. God what are you calling me to do? Who are you calling me to be? I felt that my current work which included creating videos, was not totally glorifying God.
I took my special-needs daughter to her appointments, and some needed shopping, to her dance therapy and I want you to know, she cooperated, but with difficulty. I was tired when I returned home, but God showed me the need to help her more. I had collaborated with her so many years I thought, but God was expecting more from me, I thought. I am still waiting on God to show up.
What about you? I do not know where you are in life today and what are you dealing with? Are you happy, sad, or in between? Are you experiencing or thinking of a divorce, a job or business that did not work out, an empty nest as your children have left for college or married? I want you to consider this, you are still alive. You have breath in your body. You need to let go and live. When you let go, you do nothing but pray and wait on God to let you know what is next. When you pray, you are letting go of your depression, your sadness, your anxiety, your anger, your resentment, your loneliness to God and receiving hope, freedom, and strength.
When you run after God, you are telling God that you are grateful for life and zeal and that you are depending on him for life and godliness. You are partnering with him and will wait on him regardless of how you feel, regardless of what life deals out to you. You are willing to wait for the hope that he promises to bring to you, the love, compassion, healing that he will bring to you as his child, and the faithfulness and the hope that he brings to you as your father in heaven. You are running after God knowing that in Him you will not fail because no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). In Psalm 39:7, we learn, “And now Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.”
Let us pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for all my listeners who may be going through a divorce, a death in the family, an empty nest, a job or business failure. I pray Lord, God that you will provide for them in the name of Jesus, that they will let run after you by praying and depending on you as their father who has always been loving, faithful, and compassionate to them. I pray in the name of Jesus that you will heal them and bring them to a knowledge of who you are.
