Have you ever wondered why God continually requests that we bring our burdens to him? The simple answer is that our burdens are heavy and He is the only one that can offer us rest (Matt 11:28-30). God wants to be in relationship with us. Psalm 139 shows us that He already knows our thoughts, our feelings, our whereabouts and everything that burdens us. When we give God our burdens, He lovingly hears our cries and helps us through every situation. We should not wait until we are desperate to call on Him. God is there all the time and is waiting to hold our hands, to carry us, and to guide us through our difficulties.
God is our Father and we are His children. He fashioned us in our mothers’ wombs; He had a plan for each of us before the foundation of the world, and every plan must come to fruition. Although we may have problems from time to time, we must lay everything at the feet of Jesus who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34).
