Welcome to Insights on Healing. Today’s Episode is entitled: “Jesus Heals the Man with the Evil Spirit and Others. You will learn of the healing power of God. I am Joan M. Blake, author, and I am your host. The purpose of Insights on Healing podcast is to provide content that brings inner healing and restoration to individuals dealing with trauma and difficult life situations. Insights on healing podcast includes the reading of scripture, praying for my audience, reading from one of my books or interviewing individuals who found purpose through the healing power of God. Today’s podcast is taken from the Gospel according to Saint Luke Chapter 4:33-41 where Jesus heals a man with an evil spirit, a woman with a high fever and others. I will be reading from the New Living Translation and will reflect on the situatioLuke 4:33-41 NLT 33 Once when he was in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon—an evil spirit—cried out, shouting, 34 “Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 35 But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered. At that, the demon threw the man to the floor as the crowd watched; then it came out of him without hurting him further. 36 Amazed, the people exclaimed, “What authority and power this man’s words possess! Even evil spirits obey him, and they flee at his command!” 37 The news about Jesus spread through every village in the entire region. Jesus Heals Many People 38 After leaving the synagogue that day, Jesus went to Simon’s home, where he found Simon’s mother-in-law very sick with a high fever. “Please heal her,” everyone begged. 39 Standing at her bedside, he rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and prepared a meal for them. 40 As the sun went down that evening, people throughout the village brought sick family members to Jesus. No matter what their diseases were, the touch of his hand healed every one. 41 Many were possessed by demons; and the demons came out at his command, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But because they knew he was the Messiah, he rebuked them and refused to let them speak. Reflection: Are you sick with Covid 19 and the fever is not leaving you? Are you sick with Cancer or any other desease and you need healing from the Lord Jesus today? Maybe you have a financial crisis, a relationship issue and you want the Lord to heal you and mend your relationships. If so, we can pray about these issues today. Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring all of the issues that your people face today, sickness, mental issues, some are near death, some are facing financial and relationship problems and need a touch of healing from you Father. You said ask and we shall receive, knock and the door shall be opened. I pray now that you will touch that man, that woman, that boy, that girl with your mighty hands and they will rise from their sick beds and will be healed in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who died and rose again.
