How to Come before God

As we journey through this pandemic, we are certain to have unsurmountable issues. Some of you have lost loved ones, businesses, jobs, and do not have enough funds to put food on your tables. You are overwhelmed with helping your children at home with distant learning and if you are in a similar situation as I am, you do not have a place to send your special-needs son or daughter so you can breathe. What do you do? Do you sit around complaining or do you praise God in  your situation?

Being a complainer means that you are angry and dissatisfied, and you are blaming God for your unfortunate circumstances. However, being a complainer does not solve your situation. Only God can change your circumstances in his own time, so it is expedient that you be  patient, understanding, humble, and be thankful to God for all that He has done, even waking you up to see another day.

Psalm 100 tells us to come before God with singing, because He made us, and we are his sheep. We must come to God with thanksgiving and praise, bless his name, for the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and his truth endures to all generations.
