He Touched Me

Have you ever felt the hand of God touching your life? If you answered yes, I totally agree with you. If your answer is no, I will have to disagree with you and will explain in the next five paragraphs what I mean.

God has touched you today. You are not alone. By His grace you are living. He is the one who orchestrated your life and had a plan for you before you were born and carried you while you were still in your mother’s womb.

God has given you an offer of forgiveness when you confess and repent of your sins and accept His Son, Jesus, as your personal Savior and Lord. This same Jesus, God sent to die and take your place so you can be saved from the wrath to come. By His grace you have been saved, not of your own doing, because this is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). Without Jesus’ death and resurrection, you would not be able to stand before God because of your sin. God has touched you and continues to give you a chance.

Jesus stands on the door, knocks, and waits for you to open it (Revelation 3:20). His constant knocking on the door of your heart is an indication that he is touching you. If you respond and open the door, He promises to come in and sup with you. Just picture Jesus sitting with you around your kitchen table and listening as you tell him everything that is on your heart. He does not judge you but forgives you and gives you a new start. He touches you with His love.

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and have neglected to walk with God, and/or as a result of the Coronavirus, you have lost your job or your business and cannot pay your bills and feel that God has forgotten you, I want to encourage you to stand on God’s promises. Remember, that God promises to make a way for you regardless of what you are experiencing (Isaiah 43). God is not a man that He would lie; what He has promised He would bring to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Make one step today and reach out to God who is waiting to touch you with his love and comfort. May you surrender your life to Jesus today. He waits for you. May God continue to bless you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
