Happy Mother’s Day to each of you, whether you are a mother, an aunt, a cousin, or a grandmother. The role of a mother is by far the greatest task that you have undertaken, and I want to applaud all of you today.
God has honored you in offering you this task of motherhood. Motherhood began when you looked at your baby for the first time and you could not believe that God chose you to bring this child to life. When you look at how far you have come, you know that you were not alone, for God was with you in times of difficulty, in sickness, in tragedy, and in times of joy. God has seen your faithfulness and the love that you have poured out to your children, even during difficult situations.
I salute you mothers for not only being there for your children, but for your kindness, your wisdom, your strength, and perseverance in holding your entire family together. You are indeed a Proverb 31 woman. “Your children arise and call you blessed” (Proverbs 31:28).
May God continue to bless you.
