In my previous post, I discussed how my husband and I were in a car accident, how we accidentally came off the highway and landed on a guard-rail. As a result of this accident, I have gone through moments of insecurity, experiencing fear of driving at night, fear driving a rental car and my replacement car. I have not felt the same. I have also had to pray and remember that God was with us on the day of the accident and that He continues to fight our battles. Where do I go from here? I must move to fulfilling my dream by first ridding myself of procrastination and fear.
To do so, I must believe that God was the One who saved my life and I need not entertain fear. David in Psalm 118:6 stated, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.” When we fear, we lose faith in ourselves; we lose the ability to live out our dream; and we fail to depend fully on God who loves us, who provides for us, and who gives us strength.
When we fulfill our dream, we positively affect the lives of others. For example, my dream is to reach the lost, those who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. When I tell others what Jesus can do for them, they find life, joy, peace, and salvation. Salvation is God’s free gift to anyone who accepts Jesus, God’s Son, the ONE who delivers those from the dominion of darkness and bring them to His light. Jesus is the giver of life (John 14:6) and all one has to do is, receive His free gift of salvation by confessing one’s sins and believing in Him. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). What is your dream? Fulfill it. Do not procrastinate. You will make a difference in this world.
