What makes you want to move forward although you want to give up because of your environment.

The following is a list of reasons that have helped me and hope that they encourage you as you journey through your difficulties.

1. You Are Loved by God

Jeremiah 31:3  states "The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing …

Why our help comes from the Lord (Psalm 121)

Psalm 121 states that our help comes from the Lord. The help that God gives comes in many ways. God heals our bodies  (Psalm 103) and restores us to wholeness (Jeremiah 30:17). God protects us from harm (Psalm 91), provides for us (Philippians 4:19), and gives us strength in our weakest moments (Psalm 46:1).

We can depend on God for help because he does not …

Why We Should Praise the Lord

I praise the Lord for his love, mercy, and faithfulness.

God loves you and me. He sent his son, Jesus, our king to preach the gospel to the masses, to take our place by dying on the cross for our sin so we can be justified before God, the Father. When we confess our sin, and accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, we have salvation and eternal life. We are children of God …

God is Still Healing Today

To show healing.

The bible states in the Old and New Testament  that God is a healer. I have experienced God’s healing from time to time and I want to list two Scripture verses from the Old Testament that I identify with.

The first is Psalm 103:2-3 which states: “Praise the Lord, my soul and forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and …

How I Got Over

There are times or situations when you deviate from your calling. When this happens God is not angry at you, for He knows all things; He is sovereign, almighty, faithful, loving,  compassionate, and  is able to help you reclaim what was lost.

In my last blog, I mentioned that I was grieving the loss of one of my extended family members and how it was …

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled and Let It Not Be Afraid

I awoke on February 24, 2024, with these words and I felt so comforted knowing that God is with me. As we celebrate Black History month, let us not forget the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ‘Darkness cannot put out darkness, only light can do that.’

Regardless of what you and I are experiencing in our homes, in our jobs, in our businesses, …

Why We Should Wait on God

God is omnipotent, omnipresence, and omniscient. These three terms mean that God has infinite power, He is present everywhere, and God has infinite knowledge. This last explains it all. God knows each of us in a special way. Before we were born, he knew us, and had a plan for each of us (Ps.139). Although that plan may not come about immediately, it will …

What Makes You Happy the Gift or the Giver?

Do you remember when you were a child and Christmas was around the corner? I remember our Godfather who acted the part of Santa with his Santa hat and beard and brought us gifts. The dolls were without clothes, but we were happy to receive them. We were thankful for the giver of the gifts, but we were excited over the gifts. Now, as we share gifts for our children and our …

What to Do when The Going is Rough

Have you been in a situation where issues in your life are getting rough and you do not know where to turn or what to think? How are you responding to your situation?

I have tried everything, but I have not made serious progress. At times, I am doing too much, but I feel that if I do nothing, I will get bored, and I cannot afford to let that happen. I have …

Allow God to Fill Your Empty Spaces

It is true that God takes you by the hand and helps you through your difficult life. I have seen this in my own life. If I did not make Jesus my Lord, and entrust my entire life to Him, I would have thought of a million things to make my life more enjoyable. Since God has given me a second chance at life, I owe my life in service to Him.

The Bible states in Psalm  …

Regardless of How You Feel; God Has a Plan for Your Life

When the going gets rough, look up, for God has a plan for your life and you are going through a time that will show you God’s greatness. You see if you did not go through something, how will you know what God can do?

I know how you feel. You are going through the pain of the issue you are faced with, not knowing how to handle it and how you are going to get …

Melt Me and Mold Me

I lay on my bed, my husband was not there, he had gone out of town for a funeral for a family member. I had prayed this way before, but I felt that this time I was pressing in, praying to God, and pleading with Him, and then I heard a song in my spirit, “Mold me,  melt me, fashion me into the person you want me to be. As I prayed, I rolled from side to side asking God …
