You may be wondering what is hindering you or your family from moving forward. Have you considered the intruder who resides in your home, job, business or church? The Bible states that the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy you (John 10:10), but Christ came to give you life. Beware of your intruder!
You must be aware of who your intruder is and what he/she is all about. Your intruder, who is your enemy, may operate in silence, and sometimes, it is difficult to discern his/her true character. Therefore, discerning the intruder is important so that you can cast the evil out of your life. Do not live with an intruder. He or she will manipulate or control your life and create a hostile environment that will make it difficult for you to thrive. He/she may be a co-dependent and will use you for what he/she can obtain from you. He/she would pretend to love you to gain your trust. But beware, that is the means that the intruder uses to undermine you.
You may have brought in your own intruders from your past. You cannot live in the past; intruders from your past must be cast out. These include: insecurity, anger, bitterness, un-forgiveness, abandonment and fear. Fear is crippling; it robs you of faith and hope. You cannot have faith and fear. God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind (2 Tim.1:7). There is nothing that can separate you from God’s love (Ro.8:39), not even your past. Make up your mind to put the past behind you so you can live an abundant life. It is for this reason that Jesus died and rose again. He is sitting at the right hand of God interceding for you (Ro.8:34). The battle you are fighting is not yours, but His (2 Chronicles 20:15). Cast out the intruder from among you.
