Have your lives been on a standstill? Have you been longing to experience new life? Let us discuss some areas in your lives where you will like changes to occur and look at why your lives are at a standstill.
You may want to see changes in your home, in your business, in school, on your job, or in your ministry. You are waiting for that unique spouse, that special child or healing in your life or your family’s lives. You may have countless other needs that are too numerous to mention here but I want you to know that God can meet your every need.
God answers prayers according to His will, not your will. Sometimes, God does not grant your requests because you ask amiss and your requests do not conform to His will for your lives. For example, you might be dating someone who God has not selected for you. You are at a point in your lives where you feel like giving up. God is redirecting you to take a closer look at yourselves and initiate changes that will make your life-situations improve. Changes would also come about when you pray and believe that God will change your circumstances.
Believe God because He is All-knowing and Almighty (John 13:3; Revelation 1:8). God empowers you to do great things. He provides for your every need (Philippians 4:19). In Mark 10:46-57, we read of blind Bartimaeus who was sitting at the roadside when Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho. Bartimaeus cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” When the crowd insisted that he be quiet, Bartimaeus was persistent and cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus responded to the man’s cries and said, “Call him here.” When the man approached Jesus, Jesus asked the man, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man replied, “Rabboni, to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” The man regained his sight and followed Jesus.
When you come before God, confess and repent of your sins and be specific about what you want God to do for you, as the blind man was. In cases where God did not answer prayers, persist in prayer, and ask God for strength and peace to deal with your situations. In everything, give God thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Believe in Jesus, the One who has the power to change your lives. Jesus is the key to life. He gives life. He is the life (John 14:6). He is the restorer of the brokenhearted (Ruth 4:15). He is the One who opens doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Ask God in faith, for what you want and watch him work. He will respond according to His will.
