Today, September 11, 2012, marks the eleventh year since America suffered a horrific tragedy at the hands of its enemies and where thousands of lives were lost. Families of victims and all of us suffer when we remember what happened on September 11, 2001.
As you think of these things, let us not forget the encompassing power of Almighty God. He still sits on His throne and hears all of your prayers and mine: whether we are experiencing loneliness, grief, or any type of struggle. He promises to be with you especially at this time of loneliness and grief. His hands of comfort are surrounding you right now as He reminds you that He has not forsaken you; be strong and be courageous ( Joshua 1:5).
God is a present help in the time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). This means that you can depend on God during periods of difficulty. God sent his only Son, Jesus who suffered and died but rose again and forever intercedes for us (Romans 8:34). Now, you have life and hope. He understands your pain; no one knows your pain as He does. He loves you more than you could imagine and desires to unburden you from your guilt, grief, and loneliness (Matthew 11:28-29).
As an encouragement to the families of the victims, I have enclosed a prayer entitled: “Prayer When Feeling Lonely.” Here is the link to the video: Prayer when feeling lonely.
